ms Zuiderdam Launched in 2002 and upgraded to Signature of Excellence standards in 2005, this ship is 951 feet long and carries up to 1848 passengers. It is slated to undergo an aft expansion in 2008.
ms Oosterdam Launched in 2003 and upgraded to Signature of Excellence standards in 2006, this ship is 951 feet long and carries up to 1848 passengers. It is slated to undergo an aft expansion in 2009.
ms Westerdam Launched in 2004 and upgraded to Signature of Excellence standards in 2005, this ship is 950 feet long and carries up to 1916 passengers. It had an aft expansion in 2007.
ms Noordam Launched in 2006 with Signature of Excellence standards in place, this ship is 935 feet long and carries up to 1918 passengers. Other Vista Class aft expansions are being patterned off of the ms Noordam.
Also, the ms Prinsendam was launched in 1988 and acquired by Holland America Cruises in 2002. It received Signature of Excellence upgrades in 2005, and carries up to 793 passengers on more intimate cruises aboard her 669 foot length.
The ms Eurodam, the first of the Signature Class ships, is slated to be delivered in 2008.
Greenhouse Spa The Greenhouse Spa and Salon has everything for spa treatment rooms with breathtaking views to a Turkish bath, classes in Pilates and Yoga along with relaxation and beautification methods from around the world.
Explorations Cafe Explorations Cafe is powered by the NY Times, and its extensive library of reading and video materials, free online viewing of the NY Times (as well as wireless access for those with laptops), pastries, espresso and the morning paper are available for guests' enjoyment.
Culinary Arts Center The Culinary Arts Center is presented by Food and Wine Magazine, to provide guests with a unique and entertaining experience, including demonstrations, hands-on classes, guest chefs, book signings, theater-style and plasma tv views of the culinary arts, and so much more.
Dining The culinary staff of Holland America strives to provide delightful five star meals with the freshest ingredients to enhance your cruise experience. This year, Holland America is rolling out their "As You Wish" dining plan, whereby guests will be able to chose to have a traditional set dining time (early or late), or a more flexible approach, whereby guests can either make reservations (up to 4PM) or simply show up at their convenience. "As You Wish" dining is already available on the ms Noordam, and will be instituted throughout the rest of the fleet throughout 2007-2008.
Fitness Center There is plenty in the fitness center and sports recreation areas to keep you fit while onboard, from basketball and tennis to aquarobics and circuit training.
Youth Program Club HAL provides supervised activities and play areas for kids ages 3-7, 8-12 and 13-17. The full time staff all hold degrees in education or other related fields, and have a full roster of activities, crafts and games waiting for your children.
